Date Ideas

So, I made a list. I know, I know—typically me, right? Always planning, always structuring.

But I was thinking about us, and I wrote down a few things we could do this weekend.

Option one: The Art Gallery. Not because I understand art—honestly, half of it confuses me—but because I want to watch you look at it. I want to walk behind you while you stare at the paintings, just so I can see which colors make you stop. We don't even have to talk. We can just exist in the quiet, surrounded by beautiful things.

Option two: IKEA. Hear me out. We walk through those fake living rooms and argue about which couch is better. We pretend to live in that 25-square-meter apartment. I want to build a hypothetical home with you, just to prove to myself that a home doesn't have to be a scary place. We could get ice cream after. Simple.

Option three: We just drive. No destination. I’ll make a playlist—some Joji, maybe some Taylor Swift or NIKI or..or i'll sing every Daniel Caesar's song to you if you’re in the mood. We just drive until the city lights turn into stars. I know a spot where the light pollution dies down, and I can show you the constellations I used to look at when I was lonely. I want to show you my version of the sky.

Or... option four. We stay in. We order food. You with your pink case PC, while I work on my code. Just 'parallel play.' No pressure to entertain each other, just the comfort of knowing that if I look up, you’re there. What do you think?

... (Silence) * ...

Right. I forgot. You're not here yet. I guess I’ll just keep the list in my notes app for a little longer. It’s a good list, I think. Someday, someone is going to say 'yes' to Option Two, and the room won't be this quiet anymore. But until then... it’s just me and the draft.
